Pop up tents have made it so much easier for people to erect a tent at the end of the day when they are tired and just want to go to bed. It isn't always obvious how many people each tent will hold, but some of the models include a number which tells you explicitly. There are also other products such as covers for vehicle ports which are open to the air. Big Agnes tents have a very comprehensive website, and showcase some of the lightest tent materials yet seen.

For pop up tents and quick pitch tents, there is a strong case for buying from a store so that you can have the mechanism demonstrated to you before you buy. With the major manufacturers, though, there is no need to worry that the tent will not work properly, and it will be covered by a warranty in any case. Once you have bought the tent, make sure that you do a few practice runs before you take the tent on a camping trip. It always takes a few tries to really get used to pop up tents.
